GroupCalendar as displayed on
If you have specific requirements you can contact us to help you determine the version you need.
Some possible reasons to use the Outlook® version vs. the server version.
- The calendar
data should come available in an SQL or Access database for further
- No access to the Exchange server or policies that prevent installation of third party software on that.
- Exchange version 4 or 5
Using the Outlook® version with Exchange server.
GroupCalendar™ can use work together with Exchange server but can also operate independently from it.
installation method when used in conjunction with Exchange server is to install
version SetupUKEx and create a new Public Folder on the Exchange server that all
users connect to from [Settings - select groupcalendar]. The installation
manual assumes this method also.
The advantage of this installation is that the Public folder calendar is always up-to-date in real-time. Synchronization with the Systray sync tool is not needed.
version (SetupUKEx) of GroupCalendar™ for Outlook® does not offer the same
functionality as the non Exchange version (SetupUKDA) i.e.
Creating appointments in the Group Calendar folder in Outlook® is not supported in SetupUKEx if this is a feature you would like to use then don't install SetupUKEx but install the SetupUK or SetupUKDA version as if there where no Exchange server.
